First run at Eagle Farm in 1871.
1968 and 1869 held at Gayndah.
In 1870 two races were held, in Toowoomba and Gayndah. Not run in the years 1873-1877.
Not run during the war years 1942-1945 as Eagle Farm was taken over by the Army.
Conducted in November until 1972, relocated to the Winter Carnival in 1973.
