Eagle Farm's Racing Museum displays memorabilia recording the pioneering days of thoroughbred racing including the many great champions who have highlighted its history. Valuable trophies and historic photos line the walls alongside jockeys' silks, bookies bags and even a Chinese racebook printed on silk. Some of the memorabilia on display dates as far back as the 17th century providing a rare insight into the history of racing.
Situated in the old tote house at the Eastern end of the public lawn, Eagle Farm's Racing Museum is open from 11am to 4pm on Saturday and Public Holiday racedays and entry is free. A complimentary guided tour is conducted on most racedays after the fourth race. |
